Fall Away//Two//

Im loving were this is going. It’s very fantasy if you ask me. ____ Taylor; I froze in the one spot for a few minutes waiting for a response or at least another noise. After a while, I decided to accept that It was probably nothing, wind maybe? I walked around the house lightly pushing all the doors open downstairs. There was no sign of life in this house, and It was getting later. When I looked at the clocked I was shocked to see it was already 12.30am. I would stay here for the night and then I would go back home tomorrow morning, what was I thinking coming all the way out here? I wasn’t thinking, obviously. I found a rather large bedroom upstairs, It looked like it hadn’t been lived in in years, but It was clearly a girls room, the porcelain doll’s were a give away. There was a long blue dress hanging on the antique dresser, it gathered alot of dust. I felt uncomfortable about being here but I needed a room to sleep and I wasn’t going to be picky now. I pulled the covers down and got into the bed and fell into a deep sleep. Selena; Everything was quiet now. I felt safe to come out now. I walked up the stairs and walked down the hallways to my room. I was shocked when I seen a figure in my bed, so I walked closer, he was handsome, and very familiar, I felt like I knew him. I looked around to make sure no one else was there, I placed my hand on his face and quickly backed away. He was so peaceful, He slowly opened his eyes and studied me before realising I wasn’t a dream

Calico Ghost Town

If you’ve never been to a ghost town, California is a great place to find one. In fact, many of these abandoned mining communities, which thrived during the late 1800s, are now popular tourist attractions. Veronica Hill of California Travel Tips tours the dusty streets of Calico, and learns more about life in the Old West. Located 10 miles north of Barstow, Calico Ghost Town in Yermo was named for the rainbow-colored hills that produced one of the richest silver strikes in California history. This was a wild and wooly place with 22 saloons, its own red light district and several fine restaurants. The Calico Hotel, run by Mrs. EL Hazen, promised a generous welcome, first-class meals, and reasonable rates. (The original hotel is no longer standing) By 1887, there were 1200 people living in Calico. Children of local merchants and miners attended the one-room Calico School, which sometimes doubled for church service on Sundays. Back in 1885, school teachers made about $80-$100 a month and children played games like marbles, ball and bean bag toss. Plan on a full day to explore this historic ghost town. You can relax on a rocking chair, play a game of checkers on the porch, or enjoy some good-old fashioned gold panning. Around lunchtime, grab a cool Sarsparilla and lunch plate at the Calico House Restaurant, then tour the bath house, where you’ll find antique tubs, a laundry press and old west kitchen. The Blacksmith shop is home to several antique tools and equipment. Along
